Groundwork Lawrence

Groundwork Lawrence, Inc. (GWL) is a locally-based non-profit organization working to create sustainable environmental change through community-based partnerships. Groundwork is committed to “changing places and changing lives” through on-the-ground projects, education, and volunteer programs that help to transform local communities.

Bread & Roses Housing

Bread & Roses Housing was founded in 1988 to address issues caused by rising rents and home prices. The organization’s goal is to create alternative homeownership opportunities for families traditionally excluded from the housing market. They do so by acquiring vacant lots or distressed properties, building homes and making the homes available to families through a community land trust.

Lawrence Higher Education Resource Center (HERC)

HERC is a Lawrence community resource with everything Lawrence residents need to know about how to go to college.

Jericho Road

Jericho Road Lawrence’s mission is to address economic inequities by matching the needs of non profit organizations in Lawrence, Massachusetts to the talents and resources of the surrounding suburban communities. Jericho Road volunteers offer no cost, customized professional services to those non profit organizations focused on helping individuals and families become economically self-sustaining. By providing services focused on economic sustainability, the Jericho Road Project works to strengthen and contribute to the vitality and quality of life in Lawrence.
